Padlet can be accessed via a web browser at oca.padlet.org, or using the free Padlet application available on both iOS and Android devices.
Please note that accounts created using padlet.com are considered 'Vanilla' accounts and aren't managed or linked to OCA, so avoid creating your own account unless you would like a Padlet account for personal use. When signing into oca.padlet.org, you are using a 'Backpack' account that is managed by OCA and grants you access to existing padlets available within your course and those shared by fellow students.
Before attempting to sign into Padlet, you must ensure that you are signed into your OCA Email Account. For more information, see the How do I sign into my OCA Email Account? article.
Signing in via a Web Browser
1. Navigate to Padlet by accessing oca.padlet.org, not padlet.com.
2. Select 'Continue with Google' followed by your OCA Email Account.
3. Selecting this option will sign you in without the need to enter a username or password. This is due to the single sign-on (SSO) authentication used by OCA managed Google Accounts, explained within the What is an OCA Email Account and where can I find my login details? article.
Signing in via the Padlet Application
1. Download and open the Padlet application on your device, either for iOS or Android, then select the 'Log in' option.
2. Select the 'Backpack or Briefcase user? Log in here' option, as shown in the screenshot below, to ensure you are signing into your OCA managed account. Failure to select the 'Backpack or Briefcase user? Log in here' option will sign you into a 'Vanilla' account, as explained at the start of this article, and you won't have access to OCA managed padlets.
3. You will be prompted to enter an organisation domain, upon which you should input 'oca', so the domain reads 'oca.padlet.org' and select 'Continue', as shown in the screenshot below.
4. On the following page, select 'Log in with Google' where you will be prompted to sign in with your OCA email address and password.
