What is an OCA Email Account?
Your OCA Email Account is a managed Google Account that enables you to access your student emails, sign into OCA provided websites and utilise Google’s suite of applications. OCA uses single sign-on (SSO) authentication, which means that you can sign into all OCA provided websites using Google, removing the need to enter any additional usernames or passwords.
It is essential that you sign into your email account prior to accessing any OCA provided websites, such as OCA Learn and OCA Spaces. For more information on how to sign in, please consult the How do I sign into my OCA Email Account? article.
All communications with OCA, including to your tutor, peers and Head Office staff, must be conducted via your OCA email address. If you would like more information on using your OCA email address, please consult the How can I access my student email account (Gmail) and send emails? article.
Where can I find my OCA Email Account details?
New Students
On the first day of your 2-week Induction, you will receive a Welcome Email to your personal email address that contains your login details. Your OCA email address will be generated using your first name, followed by your unique six-digit student number (firstname123456@oca.ac.uk).
Returning Students
Note that if you are a returning student, your Welcome Email will only contain a reminder of your OCA email address, not your password. You will need to continue to use the same password. In the event that you require a password reset, contact the IT Team by submitting a support request or emailing ithelpdesk@oca.ac.uk.
