The brief guidance below advises how to access different elements of the OCA Spaces Interface. To get to grips with OCA Spaces, explore the options available and find what works for you.
Accessing Your Profile
To access your OCA Spaces profile, navigate to OCA Spaces (spaces.oca.ac.uk), hover your cursor over the profile icon in the top-right corner and select 'Profile, as shown in the screenshot below.
Editing Your Profile
After accessing your OCA Spaces profile as outlined above, select 'Settings' to view options, as shown in the screenshot below. Please do not adjust settings related to your email or password as you will lose access to OCA Spaces should these be changed.
To upload a profile or cover photo, select the 'Profile' option followed by 'Change Profile Photo' or 'Change Cover Image', as shown in the screenshot below.
Accessing Your Sites
To view a list of the sites you have created, select the 'Sites' option, as shown in the screenshot below. To navigate to one of your sites, select the hyperlinked name of the site you wish to access.
Navigating Your Learning Log Homepage
Once you have selected your site from the 'My Sites' list, as outlined above, you will have access to the menu bar at the top of your learning log.
1. My Sites - Access any additional sites you have created.
2. Site Title - Reveal options for your site, including the link to your WordPress Dashboard that contains all site editing, posting and sharing options.
3. Customise - Site customisation options including Site Title.
4. New - Create a site element from the 'New' option, such as a new post.
Navigating the WordPress Dashboard
Access the WordPress Dashboard by hovering your cursor over your 'Site Title' and selecting 'Dashboard', as shown in the screenshot below.
The WordPress Dashboard offers a variety of options to explore from the left-hand menu, including viewing / editing existing posts and adding new posts under the 'Posts' option, see the screenshot below for clarity.
